The Northwest Fraud Investigator's Association offer a minimum of one conference each year. A conference is generally held in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia (Canada). A. CPE credit hours certificate given after each conference (hours vary), and we provide DPSST (Oregon) sign in form at each conference.
If you are considering hosting an NWFIA conference, please feel free to contact any member of the Executive Board. You can also check out the Conference Manual on-line. This is a step-by-step guide on how to put on a successful NWFIA conference. The conferences are designed to keep the membership up to date on new fraud trends as well as investigative strategy and techniques. The Conference(s) are generally held between March and early November. The conference venue is open to suggestion by each conference committee. Information about specific investigations, wanted persons and fraud in general can be shared at each of the conferences. Some information presented at conferences may be sensitive in nature, so members are expected to use good judgment and discretion. This is a great opportunity to network with your fellow investigators.
